Cakes By Lucy
I was approached by boutique cake business Cakes By Lucy to create a logo and branding for her business. Focusing on the keywords Elegant, Enchanting and Clean, the aim was to incorporate the spirit and playfulness of cake making whilst keeping things to the point and concise. With a colour palette of teal - Lucy's favourite colour for that personal touch - and pink, offset by an opulent gold, the branding has an organic feel with a little hint of luxury. I created some hand drawn cake designs to incorporate within the branding for a handmade feel.
The flower-like shapes chosen within the logo and patterns are inspired by the shapes of piping nozzles that Lucy uses on a regular basis, and the shapes she creates with them on her cakes and cupcakes.
